All about me

My experience spans diverse roles, sectors and geographies, but the common thread is a passion for helping talented people fulfill their potential. As an executive coach and advisor, I encourage leaders to set high standards for themselves – and to expect the same of me. What we achieve together is grounded in the core strengths we share, including insight, drive, discipline, creativity and a laser focus on results.

As a founding partner of MorinBarton, a boutique executive search firm, I’ve spent the past decade in corporate C-suites and boardrooms, advising and coaching senior leaders across a broad range of industries in North America and overseas. Earlier in my career, I spent a decade based in the UK and Europe – initially with the global consultancy Spencer Stuart, then with the distinguished UK firm Saxton Bampfylde, where I built a large team and sat on the Board of Directors.

Equally relevant to my coaching practice is my foundational education in the social sciences, which includes a BA from Queen’s University, a Bachelor of Social Work from McGill University and a Master of Social Work from the University of Toronto. In addition, I’ve earned coaching certifications from the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and the Co-Active Training Institute (CTI).

These credentials strengthen my ability to make deep connections with people at every stage in their lives and careers, from high-performing executives to rising young stars, and help them further advance their success. I believe in honesty, openness, accountability, trust – all the values I imagine (or hope) you embrace as well, including empathy for others and a willingness to laugh at life’s ironies.

I can list various other attributes that may be meaningful: Mother of four. Obsessive runner and cross-fitter. Health and wellness devotee. Adventurous traveller. Nature lover. Aspiring guitarist. Voracious reader, often of surprisingly downbeat fiction…

But I’m more interested in hearing your story – and seeing how it evolves through our work together.
